Tinnitus

Tinnitus is the perception of ringing, buzzing, humming, or other sounds from either one ear or both ears.

Why do I have Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is most commonly a symptom of hearing loss. However, there are approximately 200 other health disorders for which tinnitus is also a symptom. Some medications can even cause or exacerbate tinnitus. (Do NOT stop taking any medications without talking to you prescribing physician first.)

Is there a cure?

Unfortunately, there currently is no cure for tinnitus. But there are ways of managing and treating tinnitus such as sound enrichment and amplification.
